Hospitality programs have the pre-arrival job placement in Whistler, so the student can have a job offer while the student is still in his/her country. Apart from the job offer, the student will have accommodation provided by these hotels, that will be much cheaper than residences and homestays. And, of course, it’s amazing to have an experience of work in these great 5-star hotels in your portfolio!
How can I save and make money ?
Yes, you can if you want. It always depends on the students – do they prefer to save money or do they want to travel or party (for example). But if students want – they can always save money (especially with the pre-arrival job placement in Whistler).
Why is it such an advantage to get housing together with the job placement in Whistler ?
First of all, it is much cheaper than homestay or the residence considering that Whistler is a very expensive resort. Secondly, when students do their co-op part, they don’t get to spend time and money for transportation because they will live very close to the place they will work.
What about my future plans staying in Canada ?
You can always extend and do 1 Careers program after another, in this case there can be a 5 month period between 2 programs when you can work full-time. Also, if you work well and discuss with your employer, maybe you can have a job offer after you program? Why not?
What are the entry requirements for a successful application to the program and what are my expenses for tuition fees and costs of living vs. my income ?
The entry requirements are not high: you need to be 19+ (18+ for Hospitality program) and also to have a language level equals to IELTS 5. Do not worry if you don’t have IELTS test, you can always do our Tamwood test free of charge. The cost of the program for Hospitality is 7599 СAD till the end of March 2023, the average salary is 1200-1600 CAD for part-time job and 2400-3200 CAD for full-time job (can be different, depends on a student).
